SERVING OUTSIDE

IN OUR COMMUNITY AND IN OUR WORLD

As you consider what it means to live a “life on mission,” you will be tempted to believe the lie that finding a missions opportunity is so difficult. You may catch yourself asking: “How do we find time to add one more extra thing into our already busy schedules?” Remember being on mission does not require you to add one more “additional” thing to your life. We hope and pray another word invades your heart. Intentional. As Caesar Kalinowski states: “We must move from an additional mind-set to an intentional mind-set in the normal patterns of life that God has given us.” (Transformed, 106)

SERVING INSIDE

AROUND THE TUPELO CAMPUS

There are many opportunities to serve within the Orchard. Every Sunday it takes 439 volunteers to make it happen. There are highly visible volunteer positions such as greeters, as well as many positions that are totally behind the scenes, like volunteering on the stage design team. There is a place for everyone here and an opportunity to serve.

SERVE AS AN INDIVIDUAL

God has given all of us gifts (1 Corinthians 12) and all of us have a part to play if the work of Christ is to be done in our community and in the world. We should be committed to doing the work of Christ in the world by using our gifts.

SERVE AS A SMALL GROUP

AROUND THE TUPELO CAMPUS

There are many ways to be missional in small group. What one struggles to do, several can do easily.  A missional project that seems overwhelming to an individual could be ideal for your small group. Look for opportunities to extend Christ’s love to others. It may be as simple as leaving a good tip or as in-depth as manning a food pantry. There is strength in numbers.

LOCAL MISSIONS

OUR LOCAL MISSIONS PARTNERS

We partner with several local missions to show the love of Christ to our community. The Salvation Army, Helping Hands Helping Homeless (Quad H), Haven Acres Boys and Girls Club, Northside Boys and Girls Club and Parkgate Pregnancy Clinic are all doing great work in our area. They are always appreciative of volunteers.

INTERNATIONAL MISSIONS

AROUND THE TUPELO CAMPUS

Our international mission partners are Nicaragua and Ecuador. We have long established relationships with families in the region that dedicate their lives to serving the people in these countries. We have great mission leaders that make a medical mission to Nicaragua every spring and Ecuador every fall.

SUMMERS.A.L.T

SummerS.A.L.T is a summer reading program for children entering Kindergarten through 3rd grade.  We provide certified teachers and assistants working in classrooms – with no more than 12 students – your child will receive attention specific to his or her needs. SummerS.A.L.T. is packed full of fun activities that make the experience a fun way to spend the summer.
