Read:

“Rather, he must enjoy having guests in his home, and he must love what is good. He must live wisely and be just. He must live a devout and disciplined life. 9 He must have a strong belief in the trustworthy message he was taught; then he will be able to encourage others with wholesome teaching and show those who oppose it where they are wrong.” Titus 1:8-9

Reflect:

Here Paul is talking about the life a church leader should live. The mission of the Orchard has always been to reach those who no one else is reaching. If we buy into that mission, we are leaders in the church. Paul says that we must enjoy having guests into our home. This might not come naturally to some, but what Paul really means is that we are to be hospitable and to gather with others. We are meant to live this life in community, and the only way to effectively share Christ is through a relationship.

What are some ways you can gather with people today?

Pray:

God, give us a heart for the people in our community who are not connected to Jesus and make a way for us to build a relationship with them.
