Baptism is outward sign of an inward and spiritual grace signifying what God has done, not what we have done. For this reason we accept other baptisms because we recognize them as the work of God, not of a particular congregation.
    As an adult it is a celebration of our recognition that we are loved by God and begin to love him back! And all that is by grace. For the people of The Orchard, it is a celebration of when we recognize that God has recognized us.
     For infants and young children, it is the parents and community of faith realizing that God has claimed each person as his child, even before they have the capacity to claim him back.
